Guru Har Krishan Ji
8th Guru

Guru Har Krishan Ji

(1656 - 1664)

The Child Guru

Guru Har Krishan Ji became Guru at the young age of 5. Despite his age, he possessed immense spiritual wisdom and maturity, answering deep theological questions from scholars.

Serving the Sick in Delhi

When he visited Delhi, a severe smallpox and cholera epidemic broke out. Instead of staying safe, he went into the streets to humbly serve, heal, and comfort the sick and poor people of the city.

Legacy

While serving the people, he contracted smallpox himself and passed away at the age of 8. He is remembered for his extreme selflessness, innocence, and reminding the world that divine wisdom is not tied to age.
